| Mariel is not accepted as well as she expected in her instant family. Rachel (Claudine Barretto), Edward's eldest, has difficulty turning over household responsibilities she had reluctantly accepted when her mother left. Ryan (Patrick Garcia) is withdrawn and uncommunicative, blaming himself for his parents separation. Only Liza (Camille Pratts), the youngest, accepts Mariel wholeheartedly and finds in her the mom she never had. Friction starts to build-up in the household when Mariel starts handling the affairs of the house. Edward is no help, considering Mariel's adjustment problems as petty and siding his children always. Arguments between the couple become a common thing. To complicate things, Sandra comes home from the States and introduces her children to her new family. Conflict in the household heightens, resulting in Mariel leaving Edward and his family. Will things work out for this family in the end? |
