| Regal Entertainment's ‘Happy Together' is a fun-filled comedy drama about the unique but lasting friendship that develops between a hyper-active girl and a funny, occasionally insecure gay man. Talkative Lianne (KRIS AQUINO) and colorful gay Osmond (ERIC QUIZON) become fast friends when they meet at the first Gay Pride parade in Malate in the early 80s. For the next thirty-plus years of their lives, they'll do everything together, whether it's eating, shopping, discussing life, and even looking for the perfect man! So inseparable are the pair that even their mothers, played by GLORIA DIAZ & NOVA VILLA respectively, become best friends too. Lianne's penetrating mind and eye for detail allow her to become a successful businesswoman. Osmond, a copywriter in an advertising agency, dreams of becoming a scriptwriter, but he's discouraged by Lianne's insensitive assessment of his work. In between dreaming about the future and squabbling about trivial matters, both Lianne and Osmond meet an assortment of men from various walks of life. Lianne's list includes Gordon (CARLO MACEDA) and Brent (JAY-R), while Osmond's attempts at lasting relationships include Randy (PAOLO PARAISO) and AJ (RICHARD QUAN). At one point, the friends even discover that they're sharing the same man, the aptly-named Hugh Dakma (DOUGLAS ROBINSON)! But inspite of the occasional misunderstandings, Lianne and Osmond don't abandon one another, even when Lianne finally marries the seemingly perfect Erwin (TONTON GUTIERREZ) and Osmond meets the man of his dreams, cutie computer wiz Oliver (COGIE DOMINGO). Osmond even becomes a de facto ninang to Lianne's kids, Raphie and Wena. In no time at all, the little girls become teenagers who are discovering the joys of dating boys. Raphie (YASMIEN KURDI) is being courted by neighbor Miles (RAINIER CASTILLO), while Wena (JENNYLYN MERCADO) is being wooed by schoolmate Xander (MARK HERRAS). But being a mother to two attractive daughters isn't easy for Lianne, in light of what she and best friend Osmond had to put up with all those years of looking for the perfect guy. Will Lianne realize sooner than later that the best way for her daughters to learn is for them to make their own decisions? Or will her pakialamera instincts make things worse? And what about Osmond?
