Lolo Basyo tells a story to children at the orphanage: In the Spanish era, there lived three men who overcame their afflictions to defend themselves and their countrymen: the cowardly farmer Leo, the mentally challenged Julian, and the hunchback Mar. Since lightning struck all three, they’ve transformed into Leon Guerrero, Julio Valiente, and Zigomar—the “Tatlong Baraha,” three masked men who will fight against the oppressive Spaniards.
